'Your Music Genre' Questionnaire- classwork 12/11/13

In today's lesson our task was to construct a questionnaire for audience who listen to music. This is what I came up with…

My music genre survey

I've decided to arrange this survey into two columns as it's easier for the audience to complete the questionnaire. The important thing is that the audience don't feel like the survey/ questionnaire is endless. Therefore having a survey constructed on one side of a sheet of paper is much easier for them to complete and assures that they will not stop half way because it has too many questions.
I also included mixed types of questions and a range of ways to answer these questions. I have included a lot of closed questions where the audience are required to only tick one box. Instead of including only 'yes' or 'no' answers I also constructed a question which allows the audience to decide for themselves. This question includes a scale from 1-5 and enables them to be free with their option. On a number of times some people will not be able to decide whether they should put a cross on 3 or 4, at this point they may choose to draw the cross in between the two numbers. The difference of having a different way to answer a question captures the persons attention more as it's a different sort of answer and makes ten concentrate more on what feedback they will leave. I didn't want the questionnaire to be constructed of all closed questions so I also included questions where the reader will be able to express themselves in writing. When the audience have a chance to express themselves then they feel that they have something to say and that they are not being limited to answering only 'yes' or 'no' questions.
